Knjižnica

Naloge visokošolske knjižnice FVO opravlja Knjižnica Šolskega centra Velenje, ki domuje v kletnih prostorih stavbe Gaudeamus in ponuja 63.787 knjižnih enot in 54 naslovov serijskih publikacij.

Nabavna politika FVO se ravna po priporočilih profesorjev in sodelavcev ter spremljanju novosti na knjižnem trgu, ki so povezane z vsebino naših študijskih programov. Študenti imajo zagotovljeno celodnevno dostopnost do študijskega gradiva in čitalniška mesta. FVO je preko knjižnice Šolskega centra Velenje aktivno vključena v nacionalni vzajemni bibliografski sistem (COBISS), sodeluje tudi s Knjižnico Velenje in Osrednjo knjižnico Celje.

Knjižnice zagotavljajo študentom, profesorjem in sodelavcem dostop do knjižničnega gradiva, virov in literature za potrebe izobraževalnega in raziskovalnega procesa ter do baz podatkov (EBSCOHOST, EBSCOe-book, GVIN, Press reader, Ius Info, SSKJ 2, e-bonitete, VEČER ARHIV).

FVO ima sklenjeno pogodbo o sodelovanju tudi s Centralno tehniško knjižnico Univerze v Ljubljani (CTK), ki študentom in sodelavcem omogoča brezplačni dostop do njihovega gradiva.
