The Faculty of Environmental Protection will be involved in another Erasmus+ international project “Green Gate 2” in the period 2024-2026, which is thematically related to last year’s successfully completed project “Responsible Choice and Healthy Use of Cosmetic Products – Green Gate”.
The GreenGate 2 project is primarily aimed at educating youth and youth workers on responsible and sustainable practices in the use of medicines, decorative and youth cosmetics and is based on a previous two-year collaboration on the E+ GreenGate project, which aimed at raising awareness among adults and focused mainly on educating them on healthy lifestyles and harmful substances in everyday products such as cleaning products, laundry products and personal care cosmetics.
The GreenGate 2 project has two main objectives:
The main objective is to increase young people’s knowledge and skills in the responsible and safe usage of decorative and youth cosmetics and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals/medicines through the development of targeted educational content and related tools.
Another objective is to increase the knowledge and didactic skills of youth workers who do not have the methodological tools that would enable them to develop their own training, workshops or excursions for young people on responsible and environmentally friendly use of cosmetic products and medicines.
The first working meeting of the project partners will be hosted by the lead partner, the Czech organisation GreenScan, in Prague at the end of July.
