FEP Director Gašper Gantar Participates in the IRT Industrial Forum

Gašper Gantar, Director of the Faculty of Environmental Protection, participated in the 17th IRT Industrial Forum, the largest professional event of Slovenian industry, which brings together experts, researchers, development engineers, and representatives of manufacturing companies.

At the forum, he presented the paper “Development of a Circular Economy Strategy in a Manufacturing Company,” prepared in cooperation with Andreja Hasenbichel and Branko Bračko from Unior d. d.

Using the example of Unior d. d., the paper demonstrates how manufacturing companies can approach the preparation of a circular economy strategy. The authors highlight the importance of reviewing the current situation, establishing measurable indicators for the consumption of input materials and water, and monitoring waste generation, as well as defining objectives and measures for a more effective transition to circular business models.

The participation of the FVO Director at the forum confirms the importance of connecting environmental knowledge, industrial practice, and sustainable development, as well as the role of the Faculty of Environmental Protection in finding solutions for the green transformation of the economy.
