FEP Presents the EDU4PlastiCircular Project at the International MakeLearn Conference
The Faculty of Environmental Protection participated in the international MakeLearn, TIIM & PIConf Conference, which brings together researchers, higher education teachers, professionals, and representatives of various organisations from around the world.
FEP was represented at the conference by Dr. Anja Bubik and Assistant Katrin Školnik Škrabe, who participated in a thematic session dedicated to the circular economy, sustainable approaches, and the EDU4PlastiCircular project.
In their presentation, they highlighted the development of innovative teaching approaches that use practical and interdisciplinary examples to promote understanding of sustainability-related topics, responsible material use, and challenges associated with plastics, microplastics, and the circular economy. Particular emphasis was placed on transferring project results into educational practice and developing content that enables students to better connect theoretical knowledge with concrete environmental challenges.
International conferences such as MakeLearn provide FEP with an opportunity to present the results of numerous projects to a wider professional and scientific audience, exchange experience with researchers and experts from various fields, and gain new knowledge, ideas, and insights for future work.
Such meetings are also an important opportunity to establish new connections and potential partnerships, which are essential for the development of high-quality international projects, modern teaching approaches, and sustainability-oriented education.
By participating in international professional and scientific events, the Faculty of Environmental Protection strengthens its international visibility, contributes to the dissemination of project results, and actively participates in the development of knowledge for a more sustainable future.
