The Faculty of Environmental Protection started the academic year 2024/25 with the traditional Orientation Day, where we provided first-year students with key information on the study process, project work opportunities, international opportunities within the Erasmus programme and the Student Council. Students also heard an introductory seminar on Designing Written Products at the FVO.
With the newly graduated students, we walked through Velenje and climbed up to Velenje Castle, where we had a look around the valley and learnt a lot of interesting things about the development of the city and the environmental rehabilitation of the Šaleška valley during a short lecture.
In a relaxed discussion, we identified a number of environmental challenges that need to be addressed and embarked on our study journey, a journey in search of knowledge, full of enthusiasm.
