The Faculty of Environmental Protection was successful (as lead partner) in the call for proposals of the Public Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia (ARIS) for the co-financing of the Slovenian part of the bilateral or trilateral Weave collaborative research projects, with Croatia’s Science Treasure House (HRZZ) as the lead agency. The four-year project (March 2024 – February 2028) entitled ” Wild Boar Response to Hunting Pressure: Impact on Space Use, Stress and Meat Quality”, which will take place in Croatia (main partner is the Faculty of Agronomy, University of Zagreb) and Switzerland (University of Technology, Architecture and Landscape; Geneva), is worth almost €800 million in total. The University of Primorska (Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies) and the University of Ljubljana (Biotechnical Faculty) will also participate as important partners in Slovenia.
