In the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, FEP is hosting a student from the Faculty of Environmental Safety Engineering and Technologies, Ukrainian National Aviation University in Kiev, for the academic year 2023/24. Nikita Klymenko is from Mykolaiv, in the south of Ukraine. He initially came to Slovenia because of the military invasion of Ukraine. His aunt and her family have been living in Šoštanj for years. “At first, I was a remote student, but when I found out about the possibility of studying at the Faculty of Environmental Protection in Velenje, I also started to look into the possibility of a study exchange,” he explains of his decision to come to the FEP. As he shared in a short interview, he is very pleased with his studies and the study conditions. “The faculty is very beautiful, modern and elegant. The lecture halls are comfortable, the staff is very friendly and the professors are highly qualified with very interesting lectures,” says Nikita, who is learning Slovenian and tries to follow the lectures in Slovenian. He proves that he is very curious in lectures, rehearsals and extracurricular activities.
