About projct: |
The GreenGate 2 project focuses on educating young people and youth workers about responsible and sustainable behaviour in the use of over-the-counter drugs, as well as decorative and youth cosmetic products. The idea for this project arose from our previous two-year collaboration on the Erasmus+ GreenGate project, which was aimed at adult learners and focused on healthy lifestyles and harmful substances in everyday products, such as cleaning agents, laundry products, and personal care cosmetics. Based on research and surveys conducted among young people and youth workers, we identified a gap in educational tools and practical activities tailored for the youth. The GreenGate 2 project aims to address this gap by developing educational materials and platforms that will enable young people and youth workers to gain knowledge about health, environmental education, and responsible consumption. Additionally, the project will tackle the lack of high-quality educational tools in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Slovenia, and will increase awareness of harmful substances in medicines, dietary supplements, and decorative cosmetics.
Objectives of the project: |
The main objective of the project is to enhance the knowledge and skills of young people regarding the responsible and safe use of decorative and youth cosmetics, as well as over-the-counter drugs, through the development of targeted educational content and related tools. Additionally, the project aims to improve the knowledge and didactic skills of youth workers, who currently lack methodological tools for creating their own training sessions, workshops, or field activities focused on responsible and environmentally friendly use of cosmetic products and over-the-counter drugs.
TARGET GROUPS are: |
- Primary target group: young people in two age categories 13-18 and 18-26. 13-18 years old are learners of primary and secondary school ages. 18-26 years old are learners in tertiary school age who are either continuing their studies or have interest in environmental topics. In both groups, the aim is to provide extracurricular learning opportunities, workshops, excursions, experiments, and field trips in non-formal education settings.
