At the Faculty of Environmental Protection, we are excited to begin the new academic year 2025/26.
To mark the occasion, we organized an introductory gathering for our first-year students, who were warmly welcomed by Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gašper Gantar, Dean Prof. Dr. Boštjan Pokorny, faculty staff, as well as representatives of the Student Council and the Šalek Student Club.
The students were introduced to their study program and extracurricular opportunities, explored the faculty premises, and began forming new friendships. The day concluded with a walk to Velenje Castle, where they learned about the city’s development and the environmental restoration of the Šalek Valley, while also discovering many historical and geographical highlights of the area.
A new chapter brings challenges, knowledge, and opportunities – we wish all our students a successful start and plenty of inspiration on their academic journey.
