Associate Professor Dr. Borut Vrščaj and Assistant Katja Črnec attended the international project meeting of the SOLO project, Soils for Europe, held on 12 and 13 May 2026 in Kőszeg, Hungary.
They participated in the Soil Literacy ThinkTank, an expert group focused on identifying effective ways to improve general soil literacy and strengthen interest in soil as a key natural resource. Together with other experts, they contributed to identifying key gaps in understanding and awareness of the importance of soil, as well as to defining the next steps needed to address them.
The meeting was highly productive and was marked by active cooperation, the exchange of expert views, and constructive discussion among the participants.
