Call for Applications: E³UDRES² PhD Summer School 2026, “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Science and Education”
Master’s and PhD students, researchers, and academic staff are invited to apply for the E³UDRES² PhD Summer School 2026, entitled “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Science and Education,” which will take place from 25 to 29 May 2026 in Timișoara, Romania.
This five-day intensive programme, organised by the Politehnica University of Timișoara, will focus on exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on science, research, and higher education. The programme includes expert lectures, interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and an opportunity for participants to present their own research.
The Summer School will host a total of 35 participants:
- 25 places for participants from E³UDRES² partner institutions – free of charge
- 10 places for participants from other EU institutions – registration fee: EUR 200
Free online participation is also available and includes the morning sessions only. Participants attending the Summer School on site will receive a Certificate of Completion.
The application deadline is 1 May 2026.

Affordable accommodation is also available in UPT university hotels, starting from approximately EUR 26 per night. Travel and accommodation costs are not covered by the organisers, so participants are encouraged to explore Erasmus+ funding opportunities at their home institution.
