Our colleague and lecturer at the Faculty of Environmental Protection, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Srečko Felix Krope, has co-authored an article with Vladimir Ilić (GPU, SGDP, Sector for Police Powers) in the journal Varstvoslovje. The article, titled Preventive Measures in Amok Events – Foreign Experiences and Slovenian Reality, addresses the phenomenon of mass violence (so-called amok events), which in recent years has spread from the United States to Europe and the Western Balkans.
The authors analyze the causes of such incidents, the recognizable signs of potential perpetrators, and the current state of prevention and preparedness in Slovenia.
