Dear students, staff and colleagues,
On this Faculty of Environmental Protection (FEP) Day, we would like to share with you some thoughts on our mission and responsibilities.
The world is facing many and growing environmental challenges that require immediate solutions. As one of the leading institutions in the field of environmental sciences in the country, it is our responsibility to educate and train environmental professionals with a broad range of knowledge and competences; professionals who will be able to take an active approach to solving diverse environmental problems and thereby ensure a sustainable future. At the same time, it is our responsibility to transfer the knowledge we have or will acquire through scientific research projects to end-users or to put it into practice, e.g. through practical applications that will have a concrete and measurable impact.
Thank you for your commitment and work. Your efforts and dedication are what ensure the visibility and excellence of the FEP. At the same time, we ask you to take the Faculty Day to reflect on how each of us can continue to contribute to the development of the FEP and, consequently, our community.
