FVO team members collaborate on a major discovery about rodent enamel, which opens up the development of new dental care products

A team of researchers from the renowned Max Planck Institute in Germany, led by Slovenian scientist Dr. Vesna Šrot, has recently published an important scientific discovery on the microstructure and chemical composition of rodent teeth, which opens up new possibilities for improving dental care and tooth protection in humans. The research, which was published in the prestigious journal ACS Nano and highlighted by the American Chemical Society (ACS), was also co-authored by colleagues from the Faculty of Environmental Protection in Velenje and UP FAMNIT, Prof. Dr. Boštjan Pokorny and Prof. Dr. Elena Bužan.
