FEP concludes Erasmus+ project GreenGate2: The more you know, the easier you choose<\/strong><\/h1>\n

On 14 May 2026, the Faculty of Environmental Protection hosted the final event of the international Erasmus+ project GreenGate2, entitled The more you know, the easier you choose. Make your home more sustainable<\/strong>. The event was dedicated to presenting the project results and encouraging more responsible, healthy, and sustainable decisions in the use of everyday products in the home environment.<\/p>\n

The GreenGate2 project addresses the responsible and safe use of decorative cosmetics, personal care products, and over-the-counter medicines. It particularly focuses on young people, teachers, and youth workers, helping them understand the impact of these products on health, the environment, and quality of life through educational content, digital tools, and practical activities.<\/p>\n

The key project results were presented by the project leader at FEP, Assist. Prof. Dr. Anja Bubik. Among the most important outputs are an online classroom with video content, an e-book, video experiments, the LABtorials mini handbook, a mobile application, methodological tools, blogs, and DIY videos. As part of the project activities, FEP carried out 17 events involving almost 700 young people.<\/p>\n

The professional part of the event was complemented by two lectures delivered by representatives of the Slovenian Consumers\u2019 Association. Ur\u0161a \u0160mid Bo\u017ei\u010devi\u010d presented chemicals in cosmetic products from the perspective of consumer organisations, while Bo\u0161tjan Okorn spoke about the testing of cleaning products and detergents. Participants also took part in practical workshops, where they made a natural body scrub, an all-purpose cleaner, an anti-perspirant spray, and nourishing oil.<\/p>\n

The GreenGate2 project is implemented within the Erasmus+ KA220-YOU programme, partnerships for cooperation in the field of youth. In addition to the Faculty of Environmental Protection, partner organisations from Czechia and Slovakia also participate in the project.
